Job description

We are seeking a skilled Java + C Developer with expertise in both C and Java to play a key role in rewriting a software component from C to Java. The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle, writing efficient, testable code, and actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The project domain is the bank sector.Responsibilities:

• Participate in the rewriting of a software component from C to Java.
• Contribute to all stages of the development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing enhancements.

Must-Have Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in software development (Full Stack Developer).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of Java.
• Experience with JavaScript.
• Proficiency in XML reading/writing (e.g., XHTML, XSLT).
• Fluent in both verbal and written English.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of Progress (ABL, OpenEdge).
• Experience with C programming.
• Familiarity with Linux systems.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with version control systems, especially GIT.
