You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, to shape the future of our IT landscape by creating architectural designs that prioritize scalability, reliability, and security. You will work with the EMEA IT and Global Customers/Partners/ Employee technology team and assist them to design and architect solutions in their innovation and system implementation projects. This role is a key driver of our technology transformation.What you’ll do? As a key team player, your responsibilities include:

  • Solution Design: design end-to-end solutions that address specific business problems or requirements. This involves creating detailed architectural plans that encompass hardware, software, network, security, and other components.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT functional experts and other as appropriate to understand needs and requirements. Translate these business requirements into technical specifications and design documents.
  • Technology Evaluation: Continuously assess and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Recommend technology solutions that best fit the organization’s goals and budget.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and infrastructure teams, to ensure that the solution aligns with business goals and can be successfully implemented.
  • Architecture Governance: support and enforce architecture governance processes and standards to maintain consistency and alignment with the organization’s architecture principles.
  • Scalability and Performance: Design solutions that are scalable, resilient, and optimized for performance. Anticipate future growth and capacity requirements to ensure that the solution can accommodate them.
  • Security and Compliance: Integrate security measures into solution designs, ensuring that data and systems are protected from threats and vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and guidelines. This documentation helps communicate the design to other teams and serves as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, functional and project teams, helping them understand and implement the architectural design. Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address complex technical challenges that may arise during the implementation of the solution. Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions to keep the project on track.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts and design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure that everyone involved in the project understands the architecture and its benefits.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the final solution meets quality and performance standards by conducting reviews, tests, and assessments throughout the development and implementation phases.

What makes you successful? Bring your passion and expertise with:

  • 7+ years of experience in relevant roles, including significant experience in solution design and architecture.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex solutions and may have experience leading architecture teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • International experience is mandatory.
  • Database Management: Knowledge of various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data) and their use cases is important. This includes relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), and data warehousing solutions.
  • API Design: Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and API management tools is necessary for architecting solutions that enable seamless integration with other systems and services.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is essential for ensuring that solutions can be developed, tested, and deployed efficiently.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack) to ensure the health and performance of systems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA): Knowledge of designing solutions using microservices or SOA principles for building modular and scalable applications.
  • Enterprise Integration Patterns: Understanding of integration patterns and tools for connecting disparate systems within an enterprise.
  • Data Modeling: Expertise in data modeling and database schema design to ensure data consistency and efficiency.

Possessing these technical certification are a plus:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
  • TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Certified Information Systems Architecture Professional (CISAP)
