Job Description Summary Location: Barcelona (Hybrid/ Office)Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.20 years and 2 million-years of patient data waiting for you to unlock the next breakthrough in medicine.Role Purpose:Manage the design, deployment, and delivery of projects of medium complexity (determined by budget, timeline, and stakeholder), providing IT solutions that meet business requirementsDirect project teams (externals) and maintain control of progress, quality, and budget to meet the desired business objectivesSetup and run all project related meetings and maintain the record of actions, decisions, issues, risks and act the primary point of contact for all project related escalationsEnsure a smooth transition to operations and the optimal planning and execution of all activities associated with a release.Manage diverse set of senior stakeholders in the organization by effectively displaying the excellence in soft skillsExecute innovative, impactful, cost effective, and measurable programs, tightly aligned to business objectives.Job DescriptionYour responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the delivery of internal and outsourced projects from project initiation to transition to operations. Monitor and control project execution, establish project governance, managing risks and issues.
• Ensure effective use of resources and project management methods, tools and practices. Deliver projects on time and within budget and to meet the desired business objectives.

• Alternatively, may support the provision of services that contribute to managing the enterprise IT project portfolio, including development and implementation of project management standards and training, portfolio reporting and analytics, project management resourcing services, etc.

• Provide transparent and accurate project reporting including overall performance of the project and project documentation completion

• Own project status, issues and risks through appropriate channels / tools and ensures that these are reported back to agreed project governance (e.g., Steering Committee) with focus on required actions, ownership, and risk management.

• Accountable to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Project Management service scope

• Collaborate effectively with other teams, DDIT Functions and Domains in the organization, as well as strategic suppliers providing services to the project

• Expertise in supporting Head of Business & Operations in creating the strategic plan and then driving the same towards implementation

• University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, business or similar OR relevant experience. Certified in PMP or Agile/Scrum or PRINCE 2 is preferred

Prior experience in delivering GxP solutions within GDD Clinical IT landscape is desirableKnowledge of clinical development operations systems, processes and tools is desirableAbility to work and collaborate in matrixed teams to deliver projects with interdependencies like integration componentsExperience using various project management methodologiesStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsCapability to help the Program lead / portfolio lead to structure plan, estimate, deliver, deploy and operate the project as required10 years of experience in IT Project ManagementProven capacity to respond to changes which impact the project, deal with uncertainty and proactively problem solve to deliver the best possible outcomeIdeally this would include experience of these areas in regulated environments, because of the high impact of quality and controls in the Pharmaceutical industry.
