Position SummaryThe IT Project Manager plans, manages and controls assigned projects to achieve stated business objectives. You will partner with business and IT leads to develop the business case, scope the work, build plans and successfully manage risks and issues to deliver successful outcomes. This role will be managing hybrid and/or agile IT Engineering / Software Development projects.Key DeliverablesEnsuring that intended business benefits of assigned projects are delivered in a timely manner, within budget and per stakeholder expectations and requirements.Documenting and tracking key information such as project objectives, assumptions, issues, risks, milestones, success criteria, and in/out of scope deliverables.Creating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), documenting tasks, identifying dependencies, developing and managing the milestone/task schedule and estimating project labor and non-labor costs.Implementing Agile best practices where necessary.Facilitates project meetings (all Agile meetings – Discovery Sessions, Iteration 0, Iteration Planning, Demo & Retrospective, Daily Stand-up, Backlog Grooming); completes project tracking/analysis reportsManaging scope changes, publishing clear and concise status communications, ensuring high quality deliverables and consistently satisfying expectations and requirements.Motivating and assisting team members, organizing task assignments, facilitating team meetings, negotiating desired outcomes, balancing the needs of Business and IT stakeholders and ensuring high quality processes and deliverables.Managing project financials including budget, forecast and actuals.Managing vendors, drive service excellence and control costs.Contributing and adhering to IT policies and procedures including but not limited to Project Management, QA, SDLC, Business Readiness, Operations & Support, and Information Security.Recommending solutions to address identified issues or problems.Partnering with business and IT stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities to maximize business value and achieve the business goals.Incorporating organizational change management (OCM) best practices into project scope and schedules as needed.Advocating for the PMO and serving as the subject matter expert on project management.Knowledge/Skills/ExperienceBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university8+ years of experience in IT with at least 5+ years in IT project managementAbility to develop and monitor project plans, mitigate risk, and resolve issuesAbility to resolve conflict, negotiate desired outcomes and influence othersExperience working in a Project Management Office (PMO)Ability to contribute to the authoring and governance of PMO policies and proceduresStrong familiarity with key business processes in the area of Finance, Sales, Supply Chain and Human capital management.Knowledge of various project methodologies including Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile.Ability to perform Scrum Master role and provide project burn charts and presentations to IT/Business.
