You will ensure the availability of the Federal Pension Service’s reference architecture and facilitate the development and maintenance of the organization’s architectural standards. You will provide strategic direction, lead architectural initiatives, and foster collaboration across various tactical domains to promote innovation and maintain the integrity of the IT architecture.Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Architectural Board, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among architects from different technical domains, developing and maintaining the organization’s architectural vision, strategies, and roadmap.
- Contribute to the strategic objective of making the Federal Pension Service’s applications cloud-ready by assessing existing infrastructures and developing migration plans while adhering to cloud-native principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with other architects to develop and evaluate architectural designs, solutions, and proposals presented to the Architectural Board, working closely with enabling and product teams to guide them in solving architectural problems and ensuring architectural consistency.
- Communicate and roll out these designs within the organization.
- Mentor and coach other architects to ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including management, project teams, technology partners, and other federal G-Cloud organizations, to define architectural solutions that meet diverse requirements.
- Foster the evolution of technology architectures by staying up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Combined experience as an application specialist able to translate business requirements into functional requirements for DevOps teams, and a technical operational background in two or more of the following domains: programming languages (Java, .NET), development frameworks, CI/CD, event-driven development, API management, middleware, queueing, IAM, information security, cloud and platform services, servers, storage, databases, and computer networks.
- Expertise in IT architecture: developing architectural designs and models, ensuring consistency and coherence in the IT architecture, developing and implementing a strategic vision for IT architecture aligned with strategic goals and roadmaps, developing architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various technical and non-technical stakeholders at different organizational levels, provide technical leadership and advice to management and teams to ensure architectural choices align with business objectives.
- In-depth understanding of architectural principles, frameworks, and methodologies (developing architectural designs and models to visualize complex business processes and systems; ensuring consistency and coherence in the IT architecture across all business activities).
- Proficiency in analyzing complex technical problems and designing scalable, highperformance solutions.
- Lean mindset and familiarity with software development processes, such as DevOps or Scrum.
- Proficiency in English, French, and Dutch (native or bilingual proficiency).
- Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.Proficiency in English, French, and Dutch (native or bilingual proficiency).
- You have at least 2 years experience, ideally within a IT Lead Architect.
- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
- You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
