Summary:

We are looking for a technical and experienced Enterprise Cloud Architect with expertise in SAP System architecture and public cloud technologies. You will support the regional sales teams and regional ECS teams with architectural and solution expertise both during pre-sales as well as post sales phases. You will act as an interface between customer, pre-sales and the global architecture team.

To support your role as regional POC best, you will report directly to the Regional ECS President (hard line) and to the Global ECS CTO Office (dotted line).

You will have a chance to directly shape and contribute to the overall Enterprise Cloud Services strategy.

The Role:

Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) is the organization at SAP that manages the Private Managed Cloud Business, first and foremost supporting customers business transformation with the RISE with SAP offering. To better respond to customer demand and the tremendous growth of the Private Cloud business at SAP, ECS is introducing a regional structure where besides the global and global functions certain responsibilities will lie in the regions. One key role in these regional ECS teams will be the role of a Regional Architecture Expert.

-In your role as a Regional Architecture Expert for ECS Services you are the main contact for the region, to answer questions around ECS architecture, roadmap and platform strategy.

-You will report directly to the Regional ECS President (hard line) as well as to the Global ECS Technology and Architecture Team (dotted line).

-A strong understanding in SAP System architecture and public cloud technologies with a focus on infrastructure topics is key for this role.

-You will be involved in deal cycles with the customer and support pre-sales with your strong knowledge on public cloud infrastructure and SAP System architecture. As an interface between pre-sales and the global architecture team you will have the chance to influence the technical roadmap and contribute to the overall Enterprise Cloud Services strategy. You will transfer our knowledge and standards into the region as well as bring customer requirements back into the ECS organization.

-Supporting ECS Delivery and ECS Customer Delivery Engagement in critical customer situations and projects is also part of your role.

What you bring:

As part of the role a high proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required. In addition, you require following skills for this role:

    7 years of work experience

-5+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture and or SAP implementation. 
-3+ years of customer facing SAP Consulting experience.
-3+ years of experience with IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure or GCP)
-Experience with designing scale-up, scale-out, high availability and DR solutions
-Experience in a customer facing pre-sales role is an advantage
-SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory
-High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings and industry solutions.
-Proficient in creating technical architecture and infrastructure design for SAP solutions / SAP system architectures
-Excellent understanding of capabilities of at least one Hyperscaler (AWS; MS Azure or GCP)
-Good understanding of operational aspects (Application or Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment will be beneficial.
-Excellent communication skills and willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice
