ISP Project Accountant

Job Description:

Leonardo have a great opportunity for a Project Accountant to join our finance team within our ISP (Integrated Sensing & Protection) Line of Business. You will manage and be responsible for the financial and project reporting requirements for a specific group of projects providing accurate, timely and relevant management information as well as providing advice and guidance to the project teams. The role is part of a dynamic business sector that looks to deliver solutions to a truly global marketplace. Finance play a key role in the service offering and this is a chance to make a difference as well as satisfy the statutory requirements.

What You’ll do as Project Accountant:

• Support the Financial Controller with preparation of sector monthly forecasts including assumptions, risks and opportunities and explanation of forecast movements.
• Support the business in producing robust monthly Contract Status Reports (CSRs) and quarterly Sales and Margin Trading Plans.
• Post journals to accurately reflect the project costs and trading position
• Work with the Project Team / budget holders to understand forecast, Business Plans and CSR movements.
• Support the financial input required as part of the bid process. 
• Reconciling financial data and resolving problems/issues where appropriate to ensure integrity of information provided.

What we need from you

• AAT qualified / CIMA /ACCA part-qualified desirable
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills with a challenging mind-set
• Proactive in approach
• Ability to re-prioritise to meet key deadlines
• Focus on high quality output and support
• Advanced Excel and proficient in MS Office
• SAP experience advantageous
• IFRS 15 knowledge advantageous
