THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLYThe MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management (ISMM) is a one-year taught masters, and is the main full time postgraduate course at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM). It accepts c.40 students a year, and runs from October-September with an annual working budget exceeding £200kM. The programme is structured around blocks of teaching weeks with lectures, seminars, external speakers and assessments, followed by related industrial project work or company visits for the first two terms; the third term is spent on an integrative research project. There are also two 2-week international Study Tours with approximately half the cohort attending each one.We are looking to fill a key role at the centre of the ISMM team at the IfM. Based in West Cambridge, the ISMM Teaching Coordinator will have wide-ranging responsibilities having overall responsibility for day-to-day co-ordination of the programme from an administrative perspective, and you will be the key point of contact for prospective and existing ISMM students and teaching staff. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for co-ordinating the financial management aspects for the course, as well as having joint supervisory responsibility for the Teaching Office Administrator, managing their day-to-day workload, providing guidance, quality control and activities necessary for course delivery.Educated to degree level/Level 6 vocational qualification, or an equivalent level of practical experience, you will be a competent user of Microsoft Office, with excellent organisational skills. Previous administrative experience within a dynamic administrative environment supporting teaching or examinations activities is essential for this role. The successful candidate will also possess a working knowledge of University systems and will have previous experience managing a fleet of vehicles.
