Job description

We are seeking an experienced IoT .NET Developer to work on the development of a new application. The role involves using the Scrum process and adhering to guidelines set by architects, with the aim of delivering high-quality software increments at the end of each sprint. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including developers, testers, product specialists, and the product owner. This position requires working across all layers of the application and employing Agile and DevOps practices to deliver features effectively.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop software following coding standards and guidelines provided by technical leads and architects, ensuring adequate test coverage.
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute ideas to enhance the process.
  • Analyse user stories by engaging with the product owner and product specialists to clarify requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of user stories and ensure functionality is designed and developed according to the sprint backlog.
  • Ensure the quality of your code by writing and running unit tests.
  • Collaborate daily with offshore testers to maintain the quality of your developments.
  • Support your team by assisting colleagues when needed and taking initiative on assigned tasks.
  • Participate in proof of concepts as required.
  • Develop and maintain respectful working relationships with all staff to promote a strong team effort.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and constructive responses to all stakeholder inquiries.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations in IT, software, and middleware.
  • Anticipate and address potential issues by leveraging your experience and problem-solving skills.
  • Complete tasks as required by the company and report hierarchically to the Software Delivery Manager.
  • Be available for occasional travel as required.

Required Skills

  • Solution Design: Strong experience in solution design.
  • Agile Methodology: Proficient in Scrum and Agile practices.
  • Software Delivery: Proven experience in delivering enterprise software solutions.
  • Enterprise Application Support: Experience in supporting large, distributed enterprise applications and related production services.
  • Microsoft .NET: At least 5 years of experience.
  • Microsoft C#: Minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • ASP.NET Web API: At least 2 years of experience.
  • AngularJS/Angular 8/9: Minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Bootstrap: At least 4 years of experience.
  • SQL: Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio: Experience with Visual Studio 2015 and 2017.
  • Design Patterns & OOP: Strong understanding of design patterns and object-oriented programming.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Multicultural Collaboration: Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, particularly in a global context.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with offshore development teams.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft VSTS or TFS (Build, Releases, Tests, Backlogs, GIT).
