The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) franchise is at the heart of the strategic dialogue with our long-standing global clients. We deliver advisory solutions across public takeovers, defence advisory, mergers and divestitures, dual track IPOs, business portfolio reviews and acquisition searches, competitor strategies and analyses, balance sheet optimisation, dividend policies and corporate governance.

We are seeking candidates with strong communication skills, commitment, integrity and the ability to work as part of a team. You can expect to work on M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance origination and execution assignments. Tasks may include evaluating companies, perform financial analyses, developing models for M&A transactions, preparing industry statistics for pitches or getting involved in the execution of live deals.

Role Description/Key Responsibilities

• Working on a variety of complex projects for leading Italian, European and global clients
• Opportunity to contribute to the development of new ideas to help clients achieve their strategic and financial objectives
• Use of analytical skills and the ability to solve problems in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
• Project management and involvement in execution of live transactions and pitches
• Attend team discussions and client meetings and able to deliver parts of a presentation
• Interact with various sector and product teams across the bank, both locally and abroad
• Support senior bankers in origination and coverage efforts
• Accurate provision of calculations and analysis
• Contribute positively to franchise building activities
• Engage in regional networking and Talent Development offerings

Skills, Education & Experience

• Excellent academic record (e.g. First-Class Honours, or equivalent) supported by a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar fields
• A minimum of six months of prior experience in Investment Banking and/or Private Equity is required
• Strong technical skills including financial modelling, financial analysis and understanding of valuation methodologies
• Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and fluent in English and Italian
• Strong proficiency with financial analytics softwares and Microsoft suite of products
• Commercial instinct, demonstrable passion for finance and capital markets with an affinity for numbers
• Results-driven, perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
• Team player with ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities and contribute to the success of the franchise
• Committed to excellence and eager to maintain high professional and ethical standards
