In 2021 Tiffany &Co. joined the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton group and is one of LVMH 75 distinguished luxury houses.Inventory ControllerThe Inventory Controller will ensure that product costing for Laurelton Diamonds Belgium BV and Tiffany & Co. loose stone inventory goods in JD Edwards are correctly reported and updated throughout the different steps of the production process. He/she manages the inventory valuation procedure for the Tiffany & Co Industrial group as well as the inventory policies to ensure that inventory balances reported tie out to the perpetual inventory records and that inventory goods are valued at the proper unit cost. He/she manages periodic physical inventory counts across the territories, supports internal and external audits related to inventory in the different inventory locations, provides analysis of inventory cost drivers and periodic updates of subcontracting prices and standard absorption rates. The Inventory Controller is expected to further develop automated reporting to strengthen the inventory internal control environment and to provide insight to the leadership team on inventory control performance on a regular basis. He/she puts dashboards in place to monitor achieving this goal.Key areas of responsibility:Inventory Cost Set up and valuation
▪ Manage correctness and completeness of standard cost absorption rates and liaise with other Laurelton production facilities to correctly value manufacturing cost recharges and work in progress.
▪ Manage/document/standardize inventory policies and audit the procedures.
▪ Support any project with IT or Ops teams, locally or with corporate office in respect of flow of goods and the impact on product costing.
▪ Manage period physical inventory observation and reconciliation of counting results to the financial records for any location where Laurelton Diamonds inventory is stored and for Tiffany & Co external manufacturing suppliers.
▪ Manage manual inventory adjustment entry as required and account for LCM reserves.Inventory Cost Analyses and Reporting
▪ Report on the drivers for the standard value of production and monitor deferred inventory.
▪ Maintain and further develop Power BI dashboarding allowing insightful analysis on inventory balance fluctuations, aging of work orders, and work order variances as to identify potential risks or opportunities on inventory existence and valuation.
▪ Complete monthly reporting schedules in support of LVMH periodic reporting and disclosures for financial consolidation for Laurelton Diamonds owned inventory and Tiffany & Co loose raw materials and WIP.
▪ Perform annual inventory compliance reporting to Belgian Government.
▪ Provide support to internal and external audits on raw materials and WIP inventory as required.Inventory Control
▪ Ensure procedures are implemented in accordance with Tiffany & Co inventory control policy and to ensure correct valuation of inventory for LVMH consolidation purposes.
▪ Work with local IC managers to ensure proper receiving, handling and transfer of inventory goods throughout the production process and in compliance with JD Edwards configuration – remediation of IT issues and feedback loop to JD Edwards users as required.
▪ Create transparency on costing of Finished Goods SKU transferred from Industrial manufacturing entities to Tiffany & Co.Profile:▪ Relevant studies on university level (Bachelor/Master) in Finance, Accounting or Economics (TEW, Handelswetenschappen) or equivalent through experience
▪ +5 years’ relevant experience within a similar position (Accounting and Financial Analysis, Inventory Costing, Internal Audit).
▪ Proficiency in use of MS Office products. Advanced Excel capabilities, good working knowledge with Power BI and previous experience working with ERP-system (JD Edwards or SAP is a plus) and financial modeling tools (f.e. HFM).
▪ Facts & Figures minded, with strong data analytical and dashboarding/presentation skills.
▪ Strong project management skills. Be hands-on, comfortable taking initiative and making decisions, have ability to work independently as well as in a team and have strong interpersonal and people management skills. Feels comfortable working closely with different stakeholders in an international environment.
