Main purpose of the internship:
When joining Unilever in Belgium, you will get the opportunity to have an impact on a leading-edge company and our outstanding brands. During this internship you will get real responsibilities that will provide you with a good insight into the organisation and support your personal development.
The focus of the Supply Chain department is to create the most effective and efficient chain of products from the supplier to the customer or end consumer. The Supply Chain department focuses on all aspects of the chain, where the goal is to exceed the customer’s needs.
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities could be (amongst others):
- All-round support to the Supply Chain team
- Digital transformation of Supply Chain files and processes that cover planning, procurement, and commercialization departments
- Forecast optimization
- Process mapping and improving collaboration between departments.
- Building efficient files and automation reports which will reduce hassle in managing tasks and increase transparency in operations.
What we ask:
- You must be enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student from a University, Business School or equivalent during the entire internship.
- You have demonstrable affinity with Supply Chain and FMCG.
- You are available for a minimum of 3 months and ideally for 6 months (at least 32 hours a week).
- You are fluent in English, any additional language is an asset.
- You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
- You are a self-starter, able to work autonomously.
- You are a pro-active and dynamic person, able to anticipate the needs of your team.
- You are curious, eager to learn new things and to explore new ideas and approaches to solving challenges.
- You are able to work with a diversity of people and teams.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and feel comfortable with data analysis.
- You are familiar with MS office tools, in particular Excel.
- Knowledge or experience with VBA, Power BI and other database systems is a big plus!
