Scope of the Role

As a Marketing intern, you can be part of one of our marketing-oriented departments. We offer 3 options for your internship, ranging from the marketing department (focus on the consumer), trade marketing department (focus on the shopper) or the e-hub (focus on digital marketing & sales). In each of these departments, you will collaborate during your internship with different profiles, ranging from brand managers, trade marketers, digital marketers, content managers to graphic designers. The exciting thing about an internship at Perrigo is that we offer you a broad range of assignments which support several brands or different categories ranging from Natural OTC, Lifestyle, to cosmetics or brands for babies and children. Each brand and category has its specific tone of voice, different markets in which we operate and a specific marketing approach.

The program will take place in Nazareth outside Ghent. The program is mainly for Marketing, Business Economics, Communication Business and Project Management students. You will be given plenty of responsibility from day one.

WHAT WE WILL OFFER YOU:

-The opportunity to work with a variety of projects and tasks within marketing, trade marketing or digital marketing among others:
– Analyze market data, competition and sales figures

– Follow the budget process with one of our brand managers or trade marketeers, from the brainstorming phase to the proposal of the brand plan to the management team and assist in this preparation, such as data analysis, pricing versus competitors,…

– Contributing to the go-to-market of a new product launch: developing new packaging, performing SEO analysis, writing content about the new product to inform our customers, developing a sales presentation,…

– Contributing to the launch of a new brand website

– Setting up and following up a social media campaign

– Writing content articles, mailings or improving websites

– Helping to develop Point Of Sales material and online banners

– Optimization of the in-store or digital shelves: making planograms of certain categories, mapping our shelf position with important customers, e-commerce rankings…

– Help optimizing marketing plans and customer execution

– Help preparing customer visits and sales pitches

-The foundation for understanding the dynamics of working within an international company, but with extra focus on the Belgian market
-The chance to learn from and work closely with a group of talented and passionate people

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

-You are a motivated, creative student with sense of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit who takes ownership, has a “can-do” attitude, sees possibilities in problems and commits to both strategic as well as operational matters. You are passionate about marketing or sales and want to help build our brands.
-You are a student in Marketing, Business Economics, Communication Business and Project Management who is studying in a Belgian university or college of higher education and lives in Belgium.
-The program will take place in Nazareth, outside Ghent. You can reach our site by yourself or by using the train station plus bicycle to get to us.
-You are fluent in Dutch and / or French and have a good knowledge of English.
