Already equipped with a fleet of 4x long-haul aircraft (1 x A330-200F and 3 x B777F), CMA CGM AIR CARGO is on an ambitious mission to continue to grow its current fleet with the acquisition of new freighters.
CMA CGM AIR CARGO has already confirmed orders for 4x Airbus A350 freighters and will become the world’s first airline to launch and operate this state of the art cargo aircraft.
We are evolving our fleet towards more efficient and carbon-neutral models to accelerate the decarbonization of air freight.
As part of its development, CMA CGM Air Cargo is recruiting an Engineer to join the Research & Development Department to work on the Fuel Efficiency project.
MISSION DESCRIPTION:
You will assist the teams with their daily tasks. In collaboration with other departments of the company, your main mission will consist of:
- Creating and automating a “fuel efficiency” briefing integrated into the pilots’ flight dossier, using data analysis tools.
- Identifying and proposing best practices for fuel savings, demonstrating the benefits, and participating in their implementation to improve fleet performance.
- Researching and proposing improvements to the fuel savings analysis and calculation tool.
- Adopting, standardizing, and industrializing the process of collecting and reporting emissions.
- Collaborating with the group on communications regarding emissions-related initiatives to strengthen the project’s impact and visibility.
- Monitoring, optimizing, and ensuring the reliability of fuel data recording as part of CO₂ emissions reporting.
In addition to your main project, you will contribute to the analysis of “Perf Factor” calculations by performing the following tasks:
- Automating the calculation of the “performance factor” and “fuel bias.”
- Analyzing the evolution of the Perf Factor, identifying the causes, and proposing an interpretation of future trends.
- Industrializing processes and proposing corrective actions to improve fleet performance.
- Any other activities outside those listed may be assigned to you as needed by the Research & Development Department: route studies, software administration for pilots, technical studies, ongoing projects, etc.
