That is why our slogan is ‘Let’s Grow Together’!You will get the opportunity to work on an internal project and an intern or group of interns who are looking for a (thesis) project:How can BDO effectively upskill its colleagues and clients on the most impactful European Green Deal policies to ensure they are well-prepared to navigate the upcoming regulatory changes and capitalize on new market opportunities? What will you be doing?:The goal of this internship project is to develop comprehensive insights and learning materials on key European Green Deal policies. These materials will inform and educate BDO colleagues and clients about the implications of these policies, their impact on businesses, and the consulting services needed to support clients in adapting to these changes.The expected outcome is the creation of a Powerpoint Presentations focused on specific European Green Deal policies such as the Deforestation Act and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). These reports will include a thorough analysis of the policies (focused on the practical consequences), their impact on various industries, competitor analysis, and the identification of new market opportunities for different BDO business practices, such as digital, ESG, and Customs.Other internship tasks:– Selection of the policies in scope, can be aligned with the interest of the interns
– Conduct market research to understand the European Green Deal policies and their impact on businesses (using a Legislative tool we have – so no special knowledge/skillset required)
– Identify potential market opportunities for BDO’s business practices in response to the European Green Deal policies, by performing competitor analysis to evaluate how other consulting firms are approaching these new regulations.
– Optionally, assist in delivering this learning sessions to our extended competence centre and/of during a webinar for our BDO colleageus
– Continuous support and feedback from the ESG Competence Center in a collaborative, fun and inclusive environment. What do you bring to the table?:

  • If you were to describe yourself, one of the first terms to come to mind would be “flexible”. Juggling multiple deadlines or dealing with several different files on the same day? A piece of cake for you.
  • You are happy to take the initiative and present new ideas, but also receptive to your colleagues’ point of view. You make sure to keep them informed of a project’s progress; team spirit is the way to go for you.
  • Your work is analytical and meticulous. You are capable of objectively and critically assessing your own and others’ work.
  • Stress? What’s that? You are good at setting priorities and handle deadlines well.Delivering work on time is not a problem for you.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
  • You will graduate with a Master’s degree in 2025 and have strong interested in ESG/DE&I.
  • You have no problem with coming to our Zaventem office once a week (Wednesday) for the ESG team meetings.

  • You receive a remuneration of 10 euros per worked internship day.
