The ITP Training Specialist is responsible for onboarding and training new employees, as well as providing recurrent training and mentoring for all trip planners. They train planners on complex trip planning and flight planning for business, government, and commercial aviation. Additionally, they train planners on the preparation of alternate plans and contingent itineraries, ensuring customer approval and selection. They also ensure that all plans meet applicable FAA and international rules and regulations.

The Training Specialist is responsible for training planners in the acquisition, distribution, and interpretation of various publications such as navigation charts, flight manuals, and other safety publications. These publications are necessary to ensure safe flights and compliance with governmental regulations. They also train planners on identifying new requirements and essential publications.

Furthermore, the Training Specialist trains planners on initiating and maintaining flight folders for operational trips. This includes posting itineraries, requesting diplomatic clearances, arranging ground handling, fuel, hotels, and other necessary services through the Trip Planning System. Planners are also trained to assist customers in planning itineraries based on diplomatic requirements, airport restrictions, fuel availability, aircraft range, and political situations.

The Training Specialist ensures that planners can research and reference files for service agencies/vendors, fuel, and diplomatic clearance agencies, updating databases as needed. They also train planners to identify and manage strategic account profiles and preferences, maintaining constant contact with the principals of assigned strategic accounts. Documenting and disseminating client preferences is another important aspect of their role.

Additionally, the Training Specialist provides information about the trip planning service to new and existing customers as required. They train planners to write and test flight plans for customers and refer them to operations for transmission.

Boeing Poland is seeking an International Trip Planning Training Specialist to join our Team based in London, UK.

Profile Description:

  • Create and continually updates training manual and training website with procedural changes, regulations, and additions.

  • Maintains and administers ongoing, scheduled mentoring for all trip planning employees.

  • Establishes and maintains a comprehensive training manual for International Trip Planning, including text and graphic samples.

  • Performs one-on-one and group training with new trip planners, including instruction on ITP department procedures, geopolitical situations, the general corporate aviation industry, resource materials, Trip-Planning System (TPS), flight planning, and telephone/customer service skills.

  • Distributes new procedure information to the trip planners via the TP Manager, individual training and the Learning Management System.

  • Provides recurrent training for existing employees.

  • Regularly monitors trip activity to ensure procedures are being followed.

  • Periodically monitors trips for quality assurance and provides feedback to the trip planners.

  • Maintains the Learning Management System.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years’ of experience in Training International Trip Planners or equivalent.

  • Ability to work alternating shifts, holidays, and weekends to support customer’s needs.

  • 3+ years of experience managing and/or supporting 91, 91k, 125, 135 or 121 Flight Operations.

  • Existing rights to work in UK.

  • Fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 7+ years of experience with Flight Operations Support.

  • 1+ year of experience with Flight Planning.

  • Dispatch license, Pilots license, Instrument rating, or other Aviation certifications.

Important information regarding this requisition: This requisition is for a locally hired position in UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in UK. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
