Internship Opportunity in the Directorate of Connectivity and Secure Communications.Location NoordwijkOur team and missionThis position is based at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) – Noordwijk, NetherlandsUnder the direct authority of the Head of the Systems, Strategic Programme Lines and Technology Department, the Safety and Security from Space Programme Office is responsible for:
- The implementation of the Safety and Security from Space Strategic Programme Line;
- The management and coordination of all related industrial activities, whereby the related space segment procurement and when relevant the associated ground control segment is delegated to CSC-P or CSC-I as relevant;
- The coordination of functional and integrated support provided by other ESA Directorates and ESA Security Office in collaboration with CSC-B.

It also supports public and private national and at EU level initiatives for the development of next generation secure satellite communications systems. For more information, visit the .Within the 4S team, strategy and business development opportunities and actions are identified, and activities and projects established, implemented and monitored.You will support the 4S team in its actions for identifying and supporting the development of innovative and competitive system concepts and cutting-edge technology solutions and countermeasures to ensure (cyber)secure, resilient-by-design satellite communications systems capable of coping with the fast-evolving and expanding threat landscape.In this internship, you will be involved in:
- business development/strategy and technical roadmap definition;
- reviewing and assessing technical proposals received from industry for new activities;
- supporting reports preparation for upper management on new initiatives, projects and activities for feedback and guidance

A good knowledge of one of these is required.
