Insurance Technical Consultant

Job Description:

DXC Technology is seeking a Technical Consultant to join our Reinsurance Center of Excellence.

This role is pivotal in delivering high-impact solutions across our global reinsurance platforms, including DXC Assure Reinsurance and SICS.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and infrastructure setup for reinsurance implementations.
• Provide guidance on API integration, data migration, and cloud hosting (AWS or Microsoft Azure).
• Implement, deploy, and maintain DXC software on-premise or in SaaS environments for clients.
• Support business intelligence reporting and analytics development.
• Analyse customer workflows to propose improvements and translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
• Design and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve data accuracy.
• Manage databases for data manipulation, reporting, and optimization.
• Develop and execute test cases to validate system functionality and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including workflows, user guides, and technical specifications.

Education & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field) – or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Strong experience with relational databases: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
• Proficiency in programming languages: Java, Python.
• Familiarity with DevOps and containerisation tools – is nice to have: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of automation tools and techniques to improve internal and client processes.
• Understanding of AI and Gen AI
  to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Experience with reporting and integration tools: SAP BI, Pentaho, Talend, Jira, Apache Tomcat, MS PowerBI, MS PowerApps.

Location: Milan with remote work possibility.
