Ideally from a general mechanic background, but with an understanding of more specialist trades, you will be integral to the successful operation of the department.The main part of your role will be to prepare materials and equipment for lecturers to use with their students and to demonstrate how to use tools and equipment during a fully working and maintained workshop. You will be required to keep all stock to appropriate levels and will also maintain (or arrange for the maintenance) of machinery within the workshop.This role will allow you to enjoy working with students and the college supports your development into a lecturer in the future. You will have a good understanding of health and safety and be fully committed to working in a safe and professional fashion at all times.
