In the Synthetic Yarns and Fibres division, we aim to develop new yarns and fibres to lower our environmental impact, simplify the recyclability of our products, and create new alternatives to existing solutions already on the market.MAIN MISSIONWithin the Synthetic Yarn and Fibres Division, you will be responsible for creating and industrialising innovative yarns and fibres. Each will be linked to concrete products with added values such as stretch, waterproofness, water repellency, etc.From TRL 1 and TRL 9 you will be accountable and responsible for scaling up the innovation you are working on.To secure the intellectual property linked to those projects, you will be required in some cases to file patentsYou will work closely with laboratories to validate the concept of your innovation. After this step is confirmed the next target will be to scale up to production while collecting all customer feedback to reach the most disruptive product.You will deal with factories, innovative start-ups, universities, masterbatch, and polymer suppliers as well as our surrounding ecosystem: fabric, yarn garment engineers, supply team, and purchase departments.

Le Groupe Decathlon se concentre sur la disruption du marché du sport. Au sein de la division Fils et Fibres Synthétiques, nous visons à développer de nouveaux fils et fibres pour réduire notre impact environnemental, simplifier la recyclabilité de nos produits, et créer de nouvelles alternatives aux solutions existantes sur le marché.Vous serez rattaché.e directement au directeur de la Division.MISSION PRINCIPALEAu sein de la Division Fils et Fibres Synthétiques, vous serez responsable de la création et de l’industrialisation de fils et fibres innovants. Chacun sera lié à des produits sportifs avec des valeurs ajoutées telles que l’élasticité, l’imperméabilité, la déperlance, etc.

De TRL 1 à TRL 9, vous serez responsable de la mise à l’échelle de l’innovation sur laquelle vous travaillez.Pour sécuriser la propriété intellectuelle liée à ces projets, vous serez amené.e dans certains cas à déposer des brevets.Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec des laboratoires, des start-up innovantes pour valider le concept de votre innovation. Une fois cette étape confirmée, l’objectif suivant sera de passer à la production tout en recueillant les retours des clients pour atteindre le produit le plus innovant. Vous serez en contact avec des usines, des universités, start-up innovantes des fournisseurs de master batchs et de polymères ainsi que notre écosystème interne : ingénieurs tissus, fils, produits finis, équipes supply et départements achats.ProfilEnglish :PhD degree in Organic Chemistry, Polymer, Material Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Yarn or Fibre Processes, or a related field.Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience.Background in synthetic yarn and fibre processes, textile and other related fields.Exhibit clear and effective written and oral communication skills in English.French would be a significant added value but not compulsoryStrong capacity to work in collaboration in an ecosystemRecognised leadership and the ability to work effectively in a complex environment are crucial. Curiosity, visionary thinking, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to influence and challenge are also key attributes.Strong network in the Textile and Polymer industry FrenchDoctorat en Chimie organique, Polymères, Chimie des Matériaux, Procédés Fils ou Fibres, ou dans un domaine connexe.Minimum 5 à 10 ans d’expérience.Expérience dans les procédés de fils et fibres synthétiques, textiles et d’autres domaines similairesExcellente capacité de communication écrite et orale en anglais.Le français serait un atout important mais non obligatoire.Forte capacité à travailler en collaboration au sein d’un écosystème.Leadership reconnu et capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement complexe.
