Role Overview:

The Infrastructure Senior Tech Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure compliance with Software Licensing policies and vendor or 3rd party contractual T&Cs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage request and approval phases of the server software lifecycle

  • Respond to Compliance assessments due from vendor & regulatory bodies.

  • Direct business to resolve non-compliance issues and ensure all adhere to compliance, regulatory & corporate policies & procedures pertaining to Software licensing

  • Review and scrutinize usage evidence provided as part of renewal process. Ensure usage is compliant with contractual terms, tracking findings as part of IA/regulatory reporting requirement.

  • Check for potential underutilization/ overspend with a view of helping sectors optimize their SW spend and achieve cost saving targets

  • Provide process guidance and arrange reseller quotes

  • Compile demand forecasts deployment reports and budget commitments to assist Procurement & technology teams with price negotiations

  • Review server software requests in Renault, OneApproval and ResolveIT for accuracy in order to seize cost-saving opportunities

  • Process update and manage inventory for green-dollar server software CMP requests

  • Coordinate with Procurement and GHSAM to ensure software contracts are codified and stored in the HP Asset Manager & Flexera Contract Module

  • Partner with ICG & CTI to implement controls within SMG review process to ensure stakeholder accountability assist in anticipating vendor audits and intercept compliance issues

  • Ensure requestors cross-reference entitlements against deployments and provide evidence supporting compliance claim prior to maintenance renewals

  • Review new vendor contracts prior to signature and ensure terms are codified

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in IT/ Business Office with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement

  • Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

  • Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships

  • Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
