Oracle Industry Global Business Unit is responsible for developing, operating, and going to market with world-class, cloud-based vertical solutions globally. These include Healthcare, Communications, Engineering and Construction, Energy and Water, Financial Services, Food and Beverage, Hospitality, Life Sciences, Retail, and State and Local Government

We are building a team of experts focused on the growth of these Industry leading Cloud solutions by strengthening the synergy between the vertical capabilities, the underpinning Cloud platform (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and Oracle SaaS solutions (ERP, Supply Chain, HR, …). Offering a such a complete Industry Cloud Platform will further help Oracle’s customers better serve their customers and allow them to optimize the Cloud deployment of their critical assets.

What you’ll do

As an Industry Cloud Specialist, you will be reporting to the global Industry Cloud Strategy leader and will work hand in glove with the local GBU and Cloud Sales Representatives and technical resources across your geography (North America, Asia Pacific, EMEA, LAD) to win transformational projects, positioning Oracle Cloud as a complete Industry Cloud platform of choice.

Your deep knowledge of Cloud computing and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure coupled with your proven background with key industries (Healthcare, Finance, Communication, …) will allow you to:

  • Articulate the value of Oracle Industry Cloud capabilities as a complete and differentiated platform to C-level audience, customers, prospects, and partners, at strategic and technical level

  • Work closely with GBU sales force as a Cloud infrastructure subject matter expert to support, grow, win key sales opportunities and create strong synergy with other Lines of Business sellers (OCI, SaaS) to position Oracle Industry Cloud as a unique platform

  • Liaise with OCI and Saas Engineering to sustain expertise, share feedback and influence product roadmap to further increase the ability to integrate and support Oracle industry solutions

  • Build cross-GBU and cross-LOB content covering Oracle Industry Cloud and evangelise this message across your geographical region as a thought leader internally and externally (AR, PR, Marketing)

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a technical role or business development role in Cloud in the enterprise space and strong technical knowledge of Cloud technologies,

  • Combination of deep technical expertise and business strategy experience to connect with customers, Governments and partners, understand their challenges, and communicate a strategic vision for how Oracle Cloud can address those challenges.

  • Experience and expertise working with specific industries, especailly Healthcare, Finance or Communication

  • Deep product and market expertise in the cloud arena, including customer needs, the competitive landscape, as well as key trends for Industry Cloud.

  • Proficient in articulation of business and technical strategy, at executive level

  • Ability to listen and understand customer’s business challenges and map credibly to Oracle solutions across the entire portfolio of technology.

  • Experience working with and influencing executive leadership.

  • Superior communication skills across verbal, written, and presented content; Strong English language skills is mandatory for this position.

  • Proven ability to work well as part of an international team.

  • Ability to build and maintain long-lasting business relationships

  • Strong team player focused on the team’s success as well as personal success

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
