Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 75 000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.The role of the Industrial Engineer is to organize preventive and corrective maintenance activities in depots and/or workshops dedicated to the maintenance of rolling stock.The candidate will report hierarchically to the Industrial Manager and will collaborate with the Depot Managers and the local operational team, providing systematic assistance to depots under his responsibility located throughout the country.He/She will be responsible for translating the maintenance strategy and the maintenance plan of the rolling stocks into industrially organized work methods, with the aim of guarantee workers safety and process control, maximizing performances for the execution of the activities and improving the lead times necessary for the execution of maintenance tasks.He/She will also have to deal with the analysis of operational performance to identify areas for improvement of existing maintenance processes, in line with the rules of Continuous Improvement and through Lean methods and business strategies.He/She will have to define and feed KPIs necessary for monitoring performance, in order to identify potential areas for improvement.He/She will be a key element during the implementation of kaizen events, to identify and reduce non-value added activities.Main activities to focus on:
- Analyze the requirements described in the maintenance plan.
- Draft and validate process documentation (Standard Operation Sheet).
- Identify necessary tools and materials, from the definition of technical specifications to field validation.
- Organize the layout (facilities, workstations, flow of materials/people, number of operators, civil works).
- Validate, with the project team, the optimal strategy to implement to maximize the saturation of production resources.
- Organize all maintenance activities in line with Alstom standard requirements (sequence of activities, cycle time, delivery times, packaging, workstation ergonomics, skills, EHS constraints and Quality requirements).
- Document management on SAP Railsys (task list, materials list, tools list).
- Validate the defined processes on the field with the operations team.
- Manage suppliers for the creation of the main equipment.
- Analyze and identify actions aimed at improving project performance.
- Respect assigned budget.
- Develop business cases to evaluate investment plans and implement Make or Buy strategies.
Requirements:We would like to meet professionals with a degree in Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification, with a technical background gained in at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within structured and productive contexts operating in the industrial sector.The profile is completed by excellent problem solving skills, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 techniques, strong analytical skills, good relationship and team work skills with interlocutors from different company functions, knowledge of the English language.The position will be based in Vado Ligure and will be the industrialization reference point for Regional & Loco Maintenance Operations Projects in center of Italy.Availability to travel, mainly within the national territory, for at least 50% of the time is mandatory.An agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
