Function descriptionWhat does a day in the life of an industrial electrician look like?An industrial electrician keeps the machines in the factory hall running! You focus on electrical tasks, while the mechanics take care of the mechanical maintenance work. You install new industrial electrical installations, maintain and renew existing electrical installations.Examples of your tasks:
- Connecting electric motors and control components
- Connecting or troubleshooting electrical cabinets
- Replacing sensors, frequency converters, switches, etc.
- Troubleshooting and fixing PLC programs
- Wiring and connecting new machines
Requirements Requirements:What do I need to know/ be able to do to start as an electromechanic:Electrical:
- I can read and understand an electrical schema
- I can measure voltage, current, resistance
- I know the different electrical components (such as circuit breaker, residual current device, thermal protection, etc.)
- I can connect and troubleshoot emergency stop components
- I can connect motors in star-delta configuration
Experience:Some experience required
Drivers license:No driver’s licence required
Languages:Dutch: goed
French: goed
