Job introductionPaid weeks per year: 52Fixed Term: 1 Year (1st January 2024 – 31st December 2025)Queen’s Park Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and passionate teacher to join our teaching team.This will be a new role in our school which has been funded through the Brighton and Hove pilot project to improve provision and outcomes for children with SEND.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within the network of partner pilot schools, the local authority and school staff to develop an approach which, if successful, will roll out across the local authority over the next few years.School Context:Queen’s Park Primary School is a large school in Brighton with 314 pupils on roll. We are currently on a rapid improvement school journey where we are supporting each other to drive school improvement. You will be joining a dedicated staff team, where our vision is to provide, “A kind, inclusive learning community with high expectations for all,” for the children, staff and the wider school community.Our children demonstrate excellent behaviours for learning and are consistently challenged by the exciting opportunities and creative curriculum that we offer.About the roleInclusion Intervention LeadWe have an exciting opportunity for a teacher with relevant school experience to support us in setting up & running a new inclusive space to support our children with complex communication needs.We are looking for a teacher who will:

  • ·Work alongside the SENCO/SLT to establish an Inclusion Intervention Space in our school.
  • ·Effectively lead, plan and facilitate the delivery of a bespoke curriculum for identified pupils with complex communication needs.
  • ·Work in collaboration with class teachers.
  • ·Work alongside and lead TAs within the intervention space, including relevant training.
  • ·Work effectively with external agencies & parents/carers
  • ·Have a flexible approach to provision.
  • ·Work with wider school team to share expertise & drive school improvement.
