Incident Responder

Location: Innsbruck, Austria

About: Our client is a provider of comprehensive IT solutions and cybersecurity services, including Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Security and Compliance & Risk Management.

Job Description:

As an Incident Responder, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to detect, respond to, and mitigate cybersecurity incidents. You will work closely with our client’s security operations centre (SOC) team, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a swift and effective response to security threats. Your expertise will be crucial in protecting our organisation’s digital environment and maintaining our reputation for security excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and analyse security alerts and events to identify potential incidents.
* Respond to security incidents, including data breaches, malware infections, and network intrusions.
* Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause and impact of incidents.
* Develop and implement containment, eradication, and recovery strategies.
* Perform post-incident analysis to identify lessons learned and improve future response efforts.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance incident response capabilities.
* Maintain and update incident response plans, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
* Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response techniques.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent.
* Proven experience in cybersecurity incident response and management.
* Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and threat detection tools.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple incidents simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Fluency in English and German.
