In vivo Research Assistant/Laboratory Technician (temporary position), Preclinical Fluid Biomarkers and Occupancy
Are you looking to be a part of Lundbeck’s early drug discovery organization and bring the medicines of the future to the millions of people with CNS disorders?
Your new role
-This is a temporary (11 months) position in our in vivo team, where you will be expected to contribute to the development of Lundbeck’s early drug discovery projects by providing hands-on technical support and critical data from our in vivo animal models.
-You will have an important role in planning, conducting, and supporting the analysis of in vivo experiments.
-Your main responsibilities will be hands-on work in the laboratory, including general animal husbandry, dosing of the animals, and taking in-life and terminal bio samples. Some of the studies being performed may require you to perform biochemical analysis of tissue samples with for example Ligand binding assays, commercial ELISAs and western blots
Your future team
The Department of Preclinical Fluid Biomarkers and Occupancy is responsible for supporting research projects by generating strong in vivo pharmacology data packages for new drug candidates in Lundbeck’s R&D pipeline. We do this by running experiments in mechanistic animal models to test the pharmacological effect of compounds, and by collecting and testing biofluids to determine the pharmacological effect on the relevant fluid biomarkers.
We have a strong collaborative ethos as we are part of the larger in vivo research area; Pathology, Circuits and Symptoms that comprises an international team of around 51 members, including scientists at different levels, laboratory technicians and students.
More specifically, you will conduct your work in close collaboration with a dedicated Scientist in the department, and you will be able to collaborate with other technical staff in the same building with similar job descriptions both within and outside of our department.
What you bring to our team
Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:
-Education as Laboratory Technician (Laborant uddannelse) or similar
-Accreditation to perform animal experiments, with a FELASA license or similar.
-Hands-on experience with planning and conducting in vivo experiments in research animals especially rodents.

-Experience with Excel, Graphpad prism
-A ‘Systematically focused and High level of quality’ mindset is essential.
-Efficient, goal oriented and independent work style with flexible mind-set.
-You are a proactive team-player with great collaborative mind-set and likes to work in a dynamic environment.
