You will leverage your expertise in process technology, Lean Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and implement process optimizations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.You will actively contribute to plant efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Execute feasibility and conceptual engineering studies to assess plant improvement opportunities, product developments, and new technologies.
  • Improve process capabilities (e.g., variance reduction, quality, capacity, and energy consumption) in close collaboration with operations.
  • Act as a lead scoping expert, defining projects aligned with the Improve Plant Process and setting up multidisciplinary teams if required.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major plant disruptions and propose effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE and quality regulations, promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices and technological innovations.
  • Analyze and quantify the impact of potential solutions on plant performance, total life cycle cost, and business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Plant Performance Engineers to prioritize improvement opportunities and determine the most efficient solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and participate in expert teams to support plant improvement projects.
  • Document, communicate, and monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions, ensuring long-term sustainability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, controlling, and project management, to align on priorities and execute improvement actions.

Requirements:THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Education & Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing within a plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process technology, Lean Six Sigma (minimum practitioner level), and RCA/FMEA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ASPEN, OsiSoft PI, IP Tool, COMOS, Trendminer.

  • Excellent project management and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proactive approach towards safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in statistical analysis and evaluation tools.
