JOB DESCRIPTION

The overall objective of the Africa-EU Migration and Mobility Dialogue Support Programme (MMD III) is to support the orderly, safe, regular, and responsible migration and mobility of people within Africa, and between Africa and Europe. The project is divided into two components. The first component focuses on dialogue facilitation and provides support to the Secretariats of the Rabat and Khartoum Processes, as well as the Continent-to-Continent Migration and Mobility Dialogue. Furthermore, it provides support to the Valletta framework, including the tools and processes of the Joint Valletta Action Plan Follow-up (JVAP FU). The second component adds an operational element to MMD III, helping to translate engagements and commitments made in the dialogues into concrete actions. Through a Grants Facility, it enhances the engagement of civil society organisations (CSOs), research institutions, diaspora groups, and local authorities (LA) and supports selected projects that align with the other MMD components, strengthen ties with the JVAP framework and the regional and continental dialogues. The Junior Project Officers work as part of the Grants Facility and contribute to overall success and visibility of the MMD III project. They report to the Grants Facility Coordinator. Mandatory lanagues for these positions are English and French. ​
