Job Description:DP World is seeking a skilled PMI Project Manager with Integration experience to join our team, ideally based in the Netherlands or the UK. If you’re ready to lead exciting integration projects and make a global impact, we want to hear from you!The i28 Post Merger Integration (PMI) Project Manager will play an important role in the DP World i28 Program as part of DP World Europe’s Vision to evolve into a leading end-to-end logistics solutions provider to all cargo owners, leveraging all our assets.The i28 PMI Project Manager will be responsible for the successful creation and execution of the PMI Plan, following potential Mergers & Acquisitions which falls under the responsibility of the DP World European Region. The PMI plan includes all aspects of a Project Lifecycle – Initiation, Define, Build, Deploy and Transition as well as Governance, Monitoring, Risk Prevention and Reporting.Within the integration project the i28 PMI Project Manager will be part of the Integration Management Office for the coordination, supervision and day-to-day oversight of the integration execution. Depending on size & complexity of the integration project, the PMI Project Manager will lead 1 or more integration projects. The integration project lifecycle spans a period of typically 12-24 months, where the PMI project manager will focus the integration project team on the intermediate states (e.g. Day 1, Day 100) and target end state of the integration.How you will contribute:
– Develop the playbook which will also include the implementation of Project Management (software) tools.
– Within the integration project(s) the i28 PMI, you will work with multiple stakeholders and stakeholder groups:
– DP World Europe Business Development team & relevant Business owners e.g., Logistics and the PMI Program Director during preparation and planning phase of the – integration project and where needed during execution phase
– Workstream Leaders (project managers) from all functions (Sales, Operations, HR, Legal, IT, Finance, Sustainability and HSSE) who will be involved in the integration project from both DP World as well as from the acquired company
– Ongoing and continued alignment with various DP World Transformation Programs e.g. i28 Central Team, Blue Sky (Standardization – Shared Services) Program, Freight – – Forwarding Program, Technology Program, and other post-merger integration projects
– Ongoing and continued alignment with the Integration Steering Committee, Integration Leader, Team Captain/Workstream leaders, and other stakeholders (like Project – – – Consultants, head-office representative and Pillar representatives) for successful integration project delivery.Project Management
– Responsible for the successful creation, launch and execution of the overall post-merger integration plan
– Ensure there is an integration plan for each business function being integrated
– Facilitate workstream leaders with driving the creation, approval and execution of effective and logical integration project plans for their workstreams
– Plan and conduct the Integration Team Kick-off Meeting so that all functional integration leaders understand their roles and responsibilities during the integration / transition period
– Facilitate the briefing to the acquired management team and employees so that they understand the integration process and how it will impact them
– Responsible for the governance, monitoring, tracking, reporting and communication of the integration project in line with the PMI Program and i28 Central Team requirements
– Manage & address potential Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies that would impact delivery, driving proactive issue resolution, escalating where necessary
– Develop and manage project scope, on-time and financial delivery of the project value with support of the workstream leaders
– Manage the interdependencies between functions & workstreams so activities are prioritized and sequenced correctly
– Escalate issues requiring senior-level input so they are resolved quickly and effectively
– Manage integration project meeting cadence. Schedule and facilitate project meetings (Steering Committee, Project Team) as required to ensure that all aspects of the project are dealt with professionally and efficiently.
– Ensure there is an integration progress tracking and reporting for all functional integration leaders to follow and use.
– Report overall progress & status to the Integration Steerco, Accountable Executive(s), i28 PMI Program Director/ Head of Transformation.
– Ensure exit criteria are met and document any handoffs/handovers to business line leaders at the end of the integration / transition period
– Build and manage critical Stakeholder Relationships within the DP World Europe region which should be coordinated, managed, and aligned for successful integration project implementation.
– Provide leadership, support & training to project team members from both the acquirer and acquired company – the Project Manager should ensure that the whole team works in harmony and should lead by example with a high-level expectation of success.
