Role Purpose

To provide administrative support to the Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager in the delivery of a high quality Compensation & Benefits service across the business.

Human Resources Assistant

Salary: From £30,509 – £33,496

This opportunity, based at our Prestwick site offers:

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for all administration and liaison with third party providers in the management of:

    • New Starts – Ensuring all flow through from SAPHR to the payroll system (Dayforce) and are paid in line with payroll deadlines.
  • Leavers – Ensuring system of record is updated accurately on SAPHR & Dayforce and employee pay reflective of leave date.

  • Payroll amendments – Ensure all changes affecting employee’s pay are reflected on SAPHR & Dayforce and are actioned in payroll accurately and in a timely manner. Liaise with external provider to ensure all changes have been processed as requested.

  • Salary and Job Title / Cost Centre Changes are accurately depicted on SAPHR and have interfaced successfully into Payroll system.

  • Flexible Benefit Focal – responsible for liaising with third party provider / Spirit Employees on all Flexible Benefits queries and issues. Responsible for resolving issues in conjunction with provider.

  • Responsible for running necessary headcount reports on weekly basis and resolving any queries on headcount figures.

  • Maintaining all employee development zone increases, ensure they are approved and actioned in a timely manner.

  • Compiling Employee Bonus spreadsheets and ensure all payments are actioned in payroll as appropriate.

  • To ensure that contract amendments in respect of promotions and transfers are prepared and issued timeously in conjunction with line managers and HR Advisors.

  • Provide administrative support on all Compensation & Benefits activities across the business as required e.g. Pay Award, Bonuses Salary Planning, DZ increments, Promotions, Quarterly People Function Reviews etc.

  • Organising and facilitating Company Induction process as required.

  • To prepare and progress standard employment documentation in respect of new starts, changes, leavers, retrials and ensuring the necessary amendments are accurately reflect bn company HRIS systems.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Candidate must possess solid MS Office ability, particularly in MS Excel and Word

  • HR SAP and/or Dayforce experience is preferred

  • HNC in Business Administration/HR or equivalent qualification is desirable

  • Solid administrative background, preferably in HR

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Possess good organisational skills

  • Ability to prioritise own workload when competing time pressures exist is essential

  • Good team player and flexible approach

    Decision Making Authority

  • Works on own initiative managing daily workload, conflicting priorities where work is routine or where processes are well established.

  • Limited decision making normally within scope of own role or within the immediate team, e.g. workload prioritisation, exercising discretion over a choice of a number of actions.

  • Decisions impacting others within and external to the team will be approved by line manager.
