Are you experienced, motivated, and ready to take on a challenging role in the field of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE)? We are seeking an HSSE Supervisor for a project in Terneuzen, Netherlands. With a focus on safety and compliance, this role is perfect for a proactive individual with a strong background in HSSE roles.As an HSSE Supervisor, you will be responsible for understanding contract requirements, policies, and procedures, and ensuring their implementation on site. Your role involves ensuring construction and operational activities align with project objectives and programs. You will carry out daily HSSE inspections, follow up on deficiencies, and report incidents. Key tasks include overseeing the maintenance of Heavy Equipment and Machinery, implementing proactive safety measures, and ensuring compliance with local statutory and legal HSSE requirements.To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a recognized HSSE Certification: VCA, MVK, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in HSSE roles (supervisor and above) with exposure to engineering and construction projects, especially in the oil & gas/chemical industry.
- Be able to interpret the project Safety, Security, Health, and Environment plan and implement it during the construction and pre-commissioning phase.
- Have knowledge of English to a fluent degree.
- Have good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills.
- Be highly motivated, well organized, resourceful, and proactive.
- Have a flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude.
- Previous Wood or DOW experience will be a valuable advantage.
- Be available starting from August/September 2024.
- Have a valid European work permit.
