Global Health Safety and Environment
Offshore BE
As a member of the Offshore Service HSE Team supporting 6 wind farms from the Oostende Service Hub.Responsibilities
- Assisting in maintaining the legal register, following up on compliance to local and regional health, safety and environmental legislation and Vestas policies and requirements and providing assistance to site and regional management in maintaining compliance
- Follow up on the IMS to identify (cluster-wide) trends and conduct preventive and reactive investigations in collaboration with the HSE Coordinators
- Deputy HSE Manager (Stand in for HSE Manager during his absence towards team and towards site managers/director + act as support / sparring partner for HSE Manager)
- Advisor / Mentor role towards local HSE Coordinators
- Liaising with stakeholders (local, regional, global Vestas and external health, safety and environmental)
- HSE-related reporting, data and document management
- Participate in HSE related committees, projects, internal and external audits, site inspections and other ad hoc HSE tasks
Qualifications
- HSE professional or specialist with minimum 5 years of experience
- Good command of the English language (written and spoken) is required
- Good command of the Dutch language is an asset
- Offshore and/or Wind Energy experience is an asset
- Knowledge of Belgian HSE legislation is an asset
Competencies
- Good communication and facilitation skills towards all relevant local stakeholders and regional management
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Preferably leadership experience already obtained
- Structured work style
- HSE Role Model (behavior/talk) to your team and to the service organization
- Trustworthy and transparent and good organizational and time management skills
- Motivated and inspiring team mentor and preparedness and ability to keep learning on the job and in training courses
