We call this capability our “boots to boardroom” approach for its comprehensive service model that allows ERM to develop strategic and technical solutions that advance objectives on the ground and at the executive level.We are currently seeking a dedicated HR Business Partner with experience in a business facing advisory role to join our Southern Europe HR team, within EMEA. This will be based in our Utrecht office, reporting to the Southern HR Director and providing People business support to Country Manager in BeNe, serving a client base of some 200+ employees.The ideal individual will have a collaborative and positive approach. This role will require occasional travel to other offices across Belgium and Netherlands eg Brussels and Antwerp.Responsible for a range of HR related mission to include:Working within a professional and collaborative team in a shared services model, accountabilities include:

  • Support the development, implementation, and delivery of the BU People Plan
  • Support with BU wide and Global/Regional People Initiatives/projects
  • Be the subject matter expert on all complex employee relations issues.
  • Lead the local Talent Development agenda (Talent review, succession plannings…) in collaboration with managers & leaders.
  • Coach managers to have effective conversations, and to create/maintain a high-performance culture; work collaboratively with them to understand talent, skills, capability to support succession planning.
  • Support the business with engagement, retention, wellbeing and DEI&B initiatives.
  • Develop learning and development initiatives in line with Group and BU strategy.
  • Workforce planning and resourcing: understand the recruitment pipeline, aligning resourcing needs with BU needs, taking into account succession and talent pipelines, capability building, redundancy planning etc)
  • Manage annual salary review and bonus process.
  • Mentor junior members of the HR team

Skills and experience

  • Broad HR experience as HR BP
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Empathic person with excellent listening and relationship skills
  • You should also be self-confident, enthusiastic and a self-motivating go getter. You will have experience in mentoring and supporting managers or people in achieving optimum performance.
  • You will have a proactive and positive attitude as you will be involved with their continuous improvement agenda.
  • In addition, a pragmatic and commercial approach will be required to drive real value
  • Demonstrate commerciality and a strong knowledge of current Belgium and Netherlands employment law, procedures and processes, with a good understanding of key trends in the HR market.
  • Demonstrate strong listening, communication, organisational and prioritisation skills, excellent attention to detail, adaptability and flexibility
  • Be a catalyst for change, using influence and judgement to drive business performance and results
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure and a ‘can do’ attitude
