Position Summary:

As an EMEA PMO Project Manager, you will lead all aspects of the initiation, development, and execution of PMO projects and initiatives across the region. This will include handling specific priorities within the HR PMO project portfolio (including, tools, processes, programs and forums), enabling execution of multi-year enterprise-wide projects consistent with goals of the HR function as well as the strategy and plans of the business. You will report to the EMEA HR PMO Lead and will work closely with your team, other platforms, and the business to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective execution of relevant HR and business projects for the region in alignment with enterprise PMO and overall group and HR strategy; projects may include but not limited to restructures, consolidations, business/site closures, commercial integrations, acquisitions, divestiture, and HR functional projects.

  • Ensure project achievements and targets are met by actively leading projects on a day-to-day basis through appropriate resource, issue, and risk management. Ensure risks, assumptions, and constraints are appropriately communicated and called out.

  • Effectively handle the relationship with internal business customers within the region and vendors (Internal & External) across the globe

  • Partner successfully with Region and Country HR leads and HR field to ensure all appropriate union and / or works council information, consultation, and communication requirements and processes are met accurately and timely, by country as well as region wide as appropriate

  • Engage and partner with the global PMO team, particularly the Business Process Optimization & Experience team, and across the P&O platform (Insights & Analytics, M&A) to drive complete thinking and end-to-end solutions, including organisational change and communications needs.

  • Work with the PMO team to drive and lead ongoing continuous improvements in the Project management processes.

  • Facilitate the ongoing education, communication and awareness of the Project tools, principles and standards for various partner groups to ensure standardized and consistent application and implementation enterprise wide

Skills/ Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

  • Multi-country experience preferred.

  • Has experience in working in a number of EMEA related laws and regulations; demonstrated expertise with leading Works Council requirements and relationships.

  • Experience in Human Resources, HR consulting, and/or HR Operations.

  • Positive relationship management and influencing skills, including ability to balance multiple partners to alignment and prioritization.

  • Demonstrable understanding of organisational change and associated implications across the enterprise.

  • Program management while demonstrating an eye for business and Finance skills.

  • Validated leadership and ability to work collaboratively with a matrixed team across functions and business groups.

  • Builds and delivers solutions that meet customer expectations.

  • Facilitation and presentation skills

  • Conflict resolution and problem solving skills.

  • In-depth diagnosis, decisioning, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to explain and communicate technical concepts to a broad audience in a simple way.

  • Experienced analytical and product management skills required, including a detailed understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

  • Data savvy with a consistent record of data analysis combined with problem solving ability to solve complex problems.
