Job description
We are partnering with a leading global freight-forwarder who is seeking a HR Operations Manage to join their team at their European headquarters in Amsterdam.This role will drive the organisations processes and policies to ensure a compliant and equitable workplace.Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a scalable Human Resources function for the company’s European and APAC operations.
- Set standards for employee regulations, compliance, and payroll.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment by collaborating with hiring managers to align on strategies and create compelling job descriptions.
- Develop a network of reliable third-party partners to provide guidance and support as the company grows.
- Maintain essential business systems (e.g., Hooray).
- Standardize HR processes and ensure legal compliance in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and other industry standards.
- Drive cultural initiatives at the company, including employee development, feedback, and discipline.
- Advocate for change management and uphold our mission and values as the organization evolves.
- Promote alignment and partnership between the European, APAC, and US headquarters.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental leaders to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.
- Act as a strategic partner in designing organizational structure and compensation strategies.
Skills Required
- Over 3 years of People Operations experience in Europe, preferably in multinational corporations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- High proficiency with HR information systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Suite applications and using data for analysis, recommendations, and executive reporting.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch preferred, German is a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable working with senior business partners daily.
- Strong project management skills, self-motivated, and able to prioritize effectively to meet business needs.
- Positive attitude and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with diverse teams.
- Logistics experience is not required.
