Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire

Part-Time 30 hours, across 5 days (Monday – Friday) (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to A£60,000 (FTE) plus benefits

We are now looking to recruit an HR Manager , to join us in Hatfield. As our HR Manager you will be the main point of contact for all HR related matters within the business covering the UK and Ireland offices. The role involves supporting the business on a wide range of day to-day HR issues and developing the HR function internally.

As our HR Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will be:

* Employee Relations (Collective & Individual) – With the Chief of Staff, advise senior management on appropriate communication and staff involvement strategies to enhance employee engagement and staff wellbeing. Advise senior management on consistent use of company HR policies/handbook/procedures such as disciplinary/grievance/health & safety/new employment legislation. Communicate and administer staff survey and facilitate follow up actions plans and staff sessions. Manage relationships with legal, outsourced HR advisor and oversee employment cases.
* Recruitment – defining recruitment requirements, identifying appropriate advertising platforms, managing the recruitment lifecycle through to successful onboarding.
* Individual & Team Development – Ensure appraisals are conducted twice yearly, supporting and coaching managers. Conduct people reviews (performance, potential, succession planning) with management team. Identify and facilitate team building and development activities. Identify core competencies to support performance.
* Training – Identify training needs coming from appraisals and business requirements. Source suitable training & development solutions ensuring that maintenance of annual training plan and all related administration is up to date.
* Budgeting – In conjunction with Chief of Staff, work with Finance on the preparation of the budget regards staff level/salary increases and associated costs. Monitor and control all budgets related to HR (recruitment/training/salary etc)
* Administration & Payroll – Ensure employee personnel records are maintained and up to date. Update organisation charts on a regular basis (codes/structure/organigrams). Ensure employment contracts and other personnel documentation are legally and fiscally compliant. Provide advice to staff and management when applicable on payroll and administrative matters. Monitor emails daily for queries, information requests, reference requests.

Knowledge and Skills required for this role:

* You will be CIPD Level 5 qualified or above
* Proven HR Manager within a medium sized organisation preferably within the Aviation sector, but not essential
* Knowledge of policy development, HR Leadership, organisational development and recruitment and selection
* Experience of using BreathHR, preferable, however training will be given.
* Experience in Change management
* Flexibility to travel to our Company sites within UK or Ireland
* Flexibility to work outside or in excess of standard hours when necessary to achieve objectives required
