Purpose: This position will support all areas of Human Resources as dictated by daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

Assists in the day-to-day HR operations in a variety of areas: customer service, contract administration, employee relations, benefits, and personnel actions.

Prepares personnel requests for transfers, promotions, termination, release, contract completion, etc. Ensures that proper approvals and reviews have occurred.

Conducts HR onboarding and presents New Hire Orientation.

Coordinates demobilization and facilitates out processing.
-
Handles customer inquiries and complaints, finding resolutions at the lowest level.

Performs HR functions for new hires, terminations, transfers, and benefit changes.

Coordinates with management to establish promotion dates.
-
Assists in ensuring the required HR new hire training and annual mandatory training are completed within the defined timeline.

Assists with the drug testing program to include assisting during the monthly drug testing.

Prepare, update, and maintain reports required by management, site and corporate office in a timely manner.

Update personnel records and ensure the documentation is appropriate and up to date.

Organize, file, and maintain records.

Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.

Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.

Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management preferred.

2-3 years of human resources experience required, preferably as an HR Generalist.

Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.

Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
Specialized knowledge and skills:
-
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English and preferably German.
-
Must have advanced level understanding of HR processes and related areas.
-
Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and supervisory levels of management.

Must have a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
-
Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment.
-
Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
-
Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.

Must have a high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint.
-
Working knowledge of Deltek is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
1) LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
-
Valid driver’s license is required
-
PHR/SPHR Certification is preferred.
2) PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-
Stooping, sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, lifting 25 pounds continuously, 50 pounds intermittently, 51+ pounds with the assistance of another person, touching dexterity (hand and finger), carrying, clear seeing-general, close vision, color perception, clear speech, driving vehicle, moving objects.

Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.

Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required).
3) WORK ENVIRONMENT
- May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
