As a Compensation & Benefits Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our compensation and benefits programs at the DHLCPH Hub. Your responsibilities will include driving and managing compensation and benefits initiatives in line with global policies and local regulations, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent with competitive total compensation packages. You will plan and execute all yearly compensation and benefits processes, guiding and supporting HR colleagues and people managers in various related processes and policies.You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the HR Director, Payroll, HR Operations Manager, your HR colleagues, as well as the Compensation & Benefits team at DHL HQ in Bonn. Your role will involve driving compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with industry standards and company objectives. Additionally, you will maintain and update process descriptions and workflows of annual compensation and benefits processes, manage the annual salary and bonus review processes, and administrate employee benefits programs such as pension, health insurance, and retirement plans, “Fritvalgsordning” and other voluntary benefits.Your role will also require you to stay updated on relevant legislation, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of initiatives, and manage relationships with benefit providers, including negotiating contracts with Procurement, HR Management, and resolving issues. You will also provide guidance and support to HR colleagues and our people managers. You will assist in developing and delivering training programs on compensation and benefits policies and maintain accurate records and documentation. As a part of the HR Operations Team, you will also take part in supporting the business and your colleagues with different administrative tasks as needed.YOUR SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
We imagine our next colleague for this role to be someone who brings a wealth of expertise and dedication. Ideally, you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, paired with 3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits. You possess a strong understanding of best practices and legal requirements, along with relevant experience in global business environments, which is essential.
As a person, you are a team-oriented individual who not only strives to succeed in your tasks but equally contributes to your teams and is attentive and helpful toward your colleagues. Your strong sense of discipline and preference for working within a structured environment with clear regulations and guidelines enable you to maintain your high standards for quality. As our Compensation & Benefits Specialist, you will put your top-notch analytical and problem-solving skills to use, while maintaining and demonstrating your high attention to detail. It would be an advantage if you have experience in negotiations with vendors and service providers, as well as previous experience and proficiency with HR-related systems, Microsoft Office, and compensation analysis tools.You manage multiple priorities and projects efficiently, demonstrating high integrity, and handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
