HR Assistant This is a part-time role, 16 hours per week over 4 days Salary £22,600 – £24,000 pro rata and dependent on experience The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking Administrator or HR Assistant to join our pro-active and professional HR team in York. We are seeking a dynamic individual from an administrative or HR environment with strong administration and attention to detail skills. Experience within a HR environment is advantageous.

STEM Learning work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. You will work with the HR team who lead and support all facets of Human Resources. If you are coming from an admin background this is an ideal first step into HR. If you are already working in HR you will find the role gives exposure to a full generalist environment which will help build your knowledge and skills.

In order to succeed, you will need to have strong administration skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. You will be highly driven, of strong character, able to work autonomously, have excellent communication skills and a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude to your work.

Your proven resilience in a busy office environment will enable you to support our demand led environment and underpin your ability to carry out the role successfully.

The National STEM Learning Centre & Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of resources, on-line and physical networking and communities and partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward on-going development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in teaching STEM subjects to young people.

This role is instrumental in ensuring that all colleagues across the organisation are aware of, and benefit from a high-quality Human Resources service.
