Summary You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER SPECIALIST in the NAS Sigonella Housing Department of NAS SIGONELLA Sigonella, Italy. Responsibilities You will analyze data (e.g., programming, justification, performance) in order to determine appropriate action on properties (e.g., Acquire, revitalize, divest, demolish). You will administer housing and lodging procedures to ensure assignment, occupancy, and termination actions comply with established policies. You will allocate resources for expenditures of facility projects to ensure efficient use of resources. You will plan, schedule, and assign work based upon the difficulty of work, capabilities and grade levels of staff. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Applying property management and maintenance policies, procedures and requirements for accompanied/unaccompanied housing. 2) Developing budget plans and requirements to manage resources for operations, personnel, and maintenance functions 3) Implementing a housing activity plan to includes procedures for assignment, eligibility, and related housing activities 4) Overseeing an effective resident relations program to ensure housing related concerns and complaints are being addressed. 5) Evaluating staff performance to ensure assigned tasks are completed and performance standards are met. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is primarily performed in an office environment that is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. There may be occasional, incidental exposure to dusty/dirty conditions, hazardous materials, such as lead-based paint, or inclement weather while inspecting facilities undergoing repair, maintenance, or renovations, or to construction sites, or community referral properties. Incumbent must observe all occupational safety requirements. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is principally sedentary, although fieldwork may be required. This may involve periods of walking, standing, stair climbing, bending, reaching, and similar activities during facility visits and inspections. Driving an automobile on station, between activities, to PPV communities, to referral housing, or to community meetings may be necessary; a valid state driver’s license is required.
