You spend your morning walking the floors, conducting detailed inspections of guest rooms and common areas, making sure everything meets the exacting standards of Rosewood Hotels. Throughout the day, you oversee the work of Room Attendants and Housemen, providing guidance, addressing any guest requests or issues with care and efficiency, and ensuring all operations run smoothly. As you wrap up the day, you prepare reports on room status and the day’s activities, reflecting on how you and your team have contributed to the exceptional guest experience that Rosewood is known for.Job OverviewThe Housekeeping Supervisor is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team, responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and attention to detail. This role involves overseeing Room Attendants and Housemen, conducting thorough inspections, and managing day-to-day operations on the assigned floors. The Housekeeping Supervisor also ensures that all guest requests are handled efficiently and that all hotel policies, including safety and security protocols, are strictly followed.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence:

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas, ensuring adherence to Rosewood’s brand standards.
• Oversee the work of Room Attendants and Housemen, providing feedback and support to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensure all floors are properly stocked with supplies and that associates have the tools needed for their work.
• Manage the Dispatch of Housekeeping services and follow up on guest requests promptly and efficiently.

Guest Experience:

• Handle guest complaints and inquiries with professionalism, ensuring issues are resolved to the guest’s satisfaction.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
• Review guest requests before arrival and ensure they are fulfilled promptly and accurately.

Team Leadership:

• Train and onboard new associates, ensuring they understand and adhere to Rosewood’s standards.
• Conduct regular practical training sessions to enhance team productivity and service quality.
• Manage associate performance through feedback, coaching, and by reporting to Housekeeping Management as needed.
• Maintain associate attendance records and ensure grooming standards are upheld.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all housekeeping operations comply with hotel policies, safety regulations, and local laws.
• Report any security issues or lost items immediately to the appropriate departments.
• Monitor the safety and proper use of key cards and mobile devices.

Additional Duties:

• Participate in department meetings and training sessions, staying informed of all hotel policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects and complete any assignments given by Housekeeping Management.
• Be versatile and able to step into a Housekeeping Coordinator role when necessary.

Critical Skills & QualificationsExperience:

• Previous experience in housekeeping is required, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and ensure accuracy in work.

• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Open-minded, flexible, and proactive, with a “Can-Do” approach to requests.
