Housekeeper at Veterinary Hospital Part-time

Northwest Veterinary Specialists are recruiting for a permanent part-time housekeeper to join the team. This role you will be working 10h per week. Days and times are flexible.

Purpose : To ensure high standards by offering a service of quality and efficiency, administered with total integrity in a helpful cheerful and friendly manner.

Major Areas of Responsibilities : To ensure the hospital is cleaned to the highest standards in order to always promote excellence to clients.

Primary Objectives: To meet the strict guidelines for always maintaining a clean and sterile working environment in both clinical and public areas.

Specific Duties /Responsibilities of the Job:

• To carry out general and specific cleaning duties, helping to ensure all areas of the premises are maintained in a neat, clean, tidy and presentable state.

• To ensure that work is carried out in an economical manner and that all wastage is kept to a minimum, particularly with regard to consumable items.

• To carry out the specific weekly duties relating to the offices, stairs, staff toilets, staff room (including the refrigerators). Duties include cleaning, vacuuming laminate flooring. Emptying bins and replacing bin liners, cleaning out refrigerators, bleaching any work surfaces, wiping over any sinks, changing towels and restocking

• To maintain as safe working environment for all staff by observing and implementing all health and safety regulations and requirements

• To foster an excellent level of communication between all staff.

Knowledge/Skills

• Personal organizational skills and prioritization

• Reliability and consideration for all members of the practice team

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is an advantage.
