Here at East Durham College we have an excitying opportunity for a cleaning opertive to join the team on an hourly paid basis. The main responsibility of the post would be to ensure that the college building, internal and external are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.Main duties include but are not limited to:
- Classrooms / Production Rooms Sweep, mop, vacuum and machine floors. Dust or damp wipe furniture, equipment, partitions and sills etc.
- Toilets / Changing Rooms – Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors and sills etc.
- Staircases / Landings / Corridors Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures, fittings and glass panels.
- Kitchenettes – Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc.
- Refuse / Recyclable Waste – Empty waste and recyclables receptacles and transport to disposal area.
- Replenish – Washroom supplies, hand towels, soap and toilet roll etc.
- Other Duties – Clean carpets, and upholstered furniture, using a cleaning machine. Wash walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and partitions.
- Work may be required such as: scrubbing floors.
