We expect the Holding Controller to work independently and to be fluent in English.In this role you will report to the Senior Manager Group Financial Controller.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and prepare month end-closings and Year-End-closing of Holding entities (4/5) (including contact with auditors);
• Cost control, analysis and reporting of the P&L accounts: analysis of actuals vs last year and communicate with stakeholders;
• Review journal entries ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting methods including prepayments and accruals;
• Reviews monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss of a set of legal entities and follow up of variances and discrepancies,
• Is a key reviewer of Internal Controls, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements;
• Maintains the reporting calendar to ensure timely and accurate reporting for VAT, WHT, CIT and liaise with key stakeholders;
• Manages a team of accountants and provides them guidance;
• Enables fact-based decision making by creating transparency;
• Develops and implements applicable analytical tools and improvements;

THE PROFILE

• 5+ years of experience in related fields; experience in the retail sector is a plus;
• University degree in Business Administration/Finance/Controlling or other related fields; accounting qualification is a plus.
• Proven knowledge of setting up analysis and monitoring processes and internal controls;
• Strong analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sourcesand an innovative mindset for improvement opportunities;
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interfacing with key stakeholders in English;
• High degree of customer orientation, result-oriented and critical attitude;
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines;
• Ability to adapt and work in a consistently changing environment and among different management levels of the organization;
• Good understanding of IT systems, excellent MS office skills (especially Excel) and business intelligence tools;
