• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE): Essential for delivering high-quality education.

• Enhanced DBS Check: Must be on the update service or willing to apply for one.

• Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge and passion for history, with the ability to make the subject accessible and interesting for all students.

• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Commitment: Willingness to start immediately and commit to the role until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive history lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

• Assess and Monitor Progress: Evaluate student performance through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

• Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and maintains discipline.

• Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with the Humanities department and other staff to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to departmental projects.

• Extra-Curricular Activities: Encourage student involvement in history-related activities, such as clubs, trips, and special events.
