Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Location: Doncaster, DN9, South Yorkshire
Salary: £90 – £110 per day
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent/Temporary

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine love for education, a proactive attitude, and the ability to inspire and support children.Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons to cover teacher absences and PPA time.
• Support teaching staff in the planning and preparation of lessons.
• Lead interventions and targeted group work to improve pupil outcomes.
• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, where required.
• Assist in monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
• Contribute to the school’s positive behavior management strategies.
• Help maintain an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

About YouEssential:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience working within a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate pupils effectively.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• First Aid qualification.
• Experience using classroom management systems such as SIMS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
