High Level Teaching AssistantLocation: Cranborne, WimborneContract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Term time onlyAnnual Salary: £25,015.20 – £27,302.30 (FTE £29,120.00 – £31,782.40)Hours: 40 hours per week – Term time onlyTeaching Personnel have an Opportunity working with a large SEN School Located in the BH21 area. The School are looking for a (HLTA) High Level Teaching Assistant who believe in giving 11-16 pupils the tools and opportunities to create the lives they want for themselves. With high-quality teaching, an excellent level of individual support and a range of expert-led, integrated therapy, we support students with a range of additional learning needs to create and meet their own goals.Key duties:

• Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils according to the school’s policies, including safeguarding and PREVENT
• Under the guidance of a teacher, implement learning activities and experiences, appropriate to the class group, by supporting the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning
• Establish a positive relationship with pupils in order to support them in feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn.
• Work with the children and support their learning, providing further explanation where needed, and work towards
• Under the guidance of the Teacher, help collate evidence and information that supports pupils’ attainment and progress.
• Participate in the evaluation of learning activities.
• Provide meaningful feedback on pupil attainment and progress.
• Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting pupils’ progress according to the school’s policies in order to monitor and foster pupils’ progress in all areas of learning.

Qualifications:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
• GCSE pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths
