Experience

Skills

* Experience supporting children with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Familiarity with non-verbal communication strategies and assistive technologies.
* Experience in moving and handling students with physical needs across varied settings (e.g. classroom, pool, gym, residential units).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong behaviour management skills.
* Ability to plan and deliver differentiated learning activities.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

* Enhanced DBS check (child and adult) – must be current or willing for one.
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma – essential.

The following qualification is preferred, but not essential:

* HLTA qualification or willingness to work towards it.
