Cardiff University School of Engineering is looking to recruit an experienced Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing Officer to support the activities of the School. With a thorough knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation you will provide expert advice and guidance to support all activities of the School of Engineering. You will support and enable the implementation and continuous improvement of effective safety, health, environmental and wellbeing strategies, policies and procedures to enable the School of Engineering to continue as a healthy and safe place to work and study.As senior member of the School of Engineering’s professional services, you will work closely with the School Technical Services Manager and other colleagues to ensure effective and efficient support to the School’s core academic activities.In addition to a relevant health and safety qualification you will have Chartered Membership of The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) or Graduate IOSH (GradIOSH) and be at least actively working towards Chartered Membership (CMIOSH).This post is full time, 35 hours per week and is open ended.Salary: £39,347 – £44,263 per annum (Grade 6).
